The Future of Work

As fractional work becomes more popular, we’ve been sitting down with leaders in the fractional space to talk about the future of work. Recently we sat down with Amy Giggey, CEO of Talent to Team, to discuss how the current trends are shaping the future of work and how companies can leverage fractional talent.

Here’s what Amy had to say about the benefits of working with fractional talent.

  • Trend Spotting - Fractional leaders are less likely to get lost in the weeds because they maintain a high level view of the organization and industry trends. Working with multiple clients across the firm and drawing on each other’s experience bolsters creativity and better decision making. This means they are able to bring innovative ideas and thoughts to the table. Many of them have been there / done that or can pull on colleagues who have. That means less costly mistakes for the client. Burn out is a huge issue in the HR industry and we like to think we are retaining the top HR talent by providing hourly-flexible workspaces so they have more autonomy over their work lives.

  • More Engagement - Clients treat us no differently than full time employees. We are ingrained in their culture and leadership teams which allows us to make decisions aligning with their strategy and programs, but we have found that employees appreciate that we are fractional and have a higher level of trust providing feedback and getting help to work through challenging issues with leadership or their managers.

  • Distance From the Drama - Fractional leaders are ingrained in a company’s culture and know what is going on, but they take the whole view of the company and can be level headed and objective because they don’t have to push a personal objective.
